believe the Bible is God’s word and the final authority in our
lives.
(John 17:17, 2 Timothy

2. We
believe we are all born sinners and cannot save ourselves from
the wrath of God.
(Psalm 51:5,
Ephesians 2:1-3, Romans 1:18)
3. We
believe forgiveness is found through faith in Jesus Christ who
takes away our sins.
(Ephesians 1:7,
Colossians 1:13-14)
4. We
believe salvation was only accomplished by Christ’s life, death,
and resurrection.
(John 14:6, 1
Corinthians 15:3-8, 1 Peters 1:3-5)
5. We
believe in the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit that
brings people to God.
(Isaiah 11:2,
John 3:5, John 14:26)
6. We
believe our lives should, with the help of the Holy Spirit, be
focused on God’s will and should obey His commandments.
(Galatians 2:20,
Colossians 3:1-2, Titus 2:11-14)
7. We
believe Jesus will return to judge the world, punishing all
those who are not with Him and saving all those who are.
(Matthew 24:29-31,
Matthew 24:44, Revelation 22:12)

Niagara11 Reflection
Dewey-We had another
great trip to Niagara Falls, NY this past December. This year’s
conference was about the tabernacle and the people connected to
it like David. One of the speakers did a great job showing how
the tabernacle was a metaphor for Jesus. It was one of the Old
Testament symbols of the messiah to come. It is always great to
see Jesus all over the Old Testament. He was God’s plan all
along. Here are some more reflections from some of the youth
that went on the trip.
Allie Bowlen-During
the Niagara conference I think I became closer to god and got a
better understanding of what God wants me to do here on earth.
He doesn’t want me spending everyday pretending to be someone
I’m not. I have learned that inside of me there are so called
“giants” that keep me from letting the true me shine threw. With
God I have the chance to get rid of all these giants by getting
right with God and asking him for forgiveness and guidance to
fallow in his footsteps. My favorite part about Niagara was
being able to worship god threw the encouraging and uplifting
music.
Courteney Avon-Niagara
was once again a great experience. It is amazing to feel the
presence of God during worship. The speakers can always turn an
ordinary bible lesson into a story that relates to you and
something you have never thought of before.
Mary C Tolley-I
would say the most important thing I took away from Niagara was
the reminder of just how important Jesus' sacrifice is for us.
As they were talking about the tabernacle and how the Holy of
Holies was so closed off to people, I was reminded how Jesus
became the bridge between humans and God and how it is because
of his sacrifice that we are able to be pleasing in the sight of
God. Throughout the trip, I was also reminded of the importance
of Christian community. I really enjoyed seeing the youth come
together and bond. At college, I realize just how important that
supportive environment is and I was just happy to see it
developing more throughout the trip.
Olivia Hubbard-I
enjoyed my trip to Niagara Falls. I had fun going to the falls
and seeing different places around Buffalo. At the Conference, I
enjoyed the different praise bands and speakers. My favorite
speaker there was Reggie Dabbs. I liked him because I think he
could relate to teenagers lives and situations.
Emily Johnson-Going
to the Niagara Youth Conference totally changed how I see
church, God, and even myself. God helped me realize how I
shouldn’t hold the two different appearances of how I am at
church and how I am when I’m out in public or at my own home. My
favorite part of the conference was the first night when Reggie
Dabbs spoke. He taught us how we all probably have a giant in
our life that we’re too afraid to face, but we need to step up
and fight that giant. I think after his lesson everybody went
out saying the line that Reggie had us repeat over and over.
“Somebody’s gonna die.” Over all, this conference brought me
closer to the people around me and more importantly, closer to
God. It was truly a life changing experience.
Daniel Ochs-The
Niagara Falls trip was really great on many levels. I learned
that you can never do anything alone. You need the Bible and
God to be with you to be successful. Trying to accomplish
anything with out God makes everything harder. One of my
favorite parts was the music because it was heart pounding and
uplifting. I liked the excitement it added to the conference.
Overall the trip was really awesome and I learned alot from the
conference. Thanks for taking us.
Aubrey Tobin-During
my trip to Niagara my relationship with God has greatly
increased. My favorite part of the conference was on the first
night when Reggie spoke. I learned from him that with the power
of God you can kill your giant. That giant could be drugs,
depression, addiction, or anything that is holding you back, and
with the help and the power of God you can kill that giant.
Reggie often said "some body's gonna die" and the devil and the
giant in your life is the one that is going to die. His message
was the best one I heard and it definitely brought me closer to
God.
Lauren Lama-Joshua
Revelation affected my walk with god. It mad me realize how a
lot of people need help or are in need when they went up to the
front. I also feel sorry for the family that lost their
daughter! I really connected with God on that trip. I had a lot
fun seeing the falls even thought it was really cold that day
I'm glad we got to see Niagara falls. I had the most fun being
in the church playing sardines and going to grandma Dewey's!
Landen Lama-My
experience at Joshua Revolution in Niagara Falls. My best memory
at Niagara would be having Reggie there talking to us again. I
also enjoyed meeting Dewey’s parents and having lunch there.
Seeing the falls at night was great too. It affected my walk
with God because I got to see that we don't have to be lonely
for anything because we have God there with us at all times.
We're an active group,
come join us!
