DISASTER RELIEF ON CALL – CONNECT
When a need arises, the people on this list are contacted. Groups have traveled to Louisiana, West Virginia, Texas and most recently Panama City, Florida. The above picture shows our group that went to Panama City, FL in March of 2019, holding a Bible they gave to the homeowner they helped that day with tree removal. The arborist who was on their team carved a cross in the stump for them as he delivered a moving devotion. It is a wonderful opportunity for hands-on serving. A trip is currently being planned for this fall. Consider being part of this Disaster Relief On Call list. (Contact Bob Heath at bob@partnersnpackaging.com)
MALAWI WATER PROJECT
The Mission Team sponsored a water well in the sub-Saharan African nation of Malawi where Jim Gray went on a mission trip.
While in Malawi, Jim learned that an average household must walk nearly 4 miles for water. In Lancaster terms, that would be the distance from First Pres to Sonic on Ety Rd., lugging about 41 pounds of water on the return trip. Such a trip is made daily, usually by women or children.
With our help, a well was installed in one village, changing drastically the lives of hundreds of villagers.
